All tracks here were released between 1992 – 1997. My Indie Kid years, when I had Baggy Jeans, Long Blond Hair & not a care in the world. Every Monday morning I’d visit my local Independent record store to see what was new, and at 99 pence per 7” single it wasn’t uncommon for me to come back with 20 or 30 singles a time. I ended up with a lot of rubbish, but I was happy to sit through them knowing the next one I listen to may be the perfect pop song.

This mix features the cream of the crop. A few bands featured went on to have moderate success ( Delgados, Madder Rose, BMX Bandits ) the Super Furries even released a best of. The majority though disappeared as quickly as they surfaced…

All I can say is Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. What a wonderful blog and what a wonderful set of mixes. Just amazing. Lots of stuff I have been looking for and longing to hear. Way to go. Do you have the entire "Gangsters of Love" album from 1973? Wow.....Thank you again and please keep up the great work.
