Stephen Gately from boyband 'Boyzone', Ted Kennedy, chef Keith Floyd, comic Soupy Sales and film director John Hughes.

And countless others I've neglected to mention, no doubt, in a big year for celebrity passings (hence for the first time in 5 years a double disc). R.I.P.
