Chart Round Up

Kid Rock scores his first UK No1 single this week with ‘All Summer Long’. The Warren Zevon sampling track has also peaked at #1 in Austria, Switzerland, Germany & Ireland. It stalled at #38 on the Billboard 100.

A huge climb of 134 places sees Katy Perry climb to #4 this week with ‘I Kissed A Girl’. Currently at the top of the Billboard chart, don’t be surprised if Ms Perry emulates that feat in the UK as early as next week.

I’ve no idea why but ‘In The Air Tonight’ is the No1 single in New Zealand. Madonna & Justin continue to Top the charts in 14 Countries with ‘4 Minutes’, and is currently the Worlds biggest seller.

A huge congratulations to Snow Patrol who this week celebrate 100 Weeks in the UK chart with ‘Chasing Cars’. No mean feat this. It’s currently No2 on the All time list of Chart Runners, still a fair way behind Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ on 122 Weeks. But if you ask my opinion that record is there to be broken, and will be.

Finally, ‘Abba Gold’ is back at No1 in the UK album Chart, 16 years after its release. And Noah And The Whale have a Top 10 Single with their debut ‘5 Years Time’. Hooray!
